The Cincinnati Insurance Companies' Commercial Product department is currently seeking a Data Analyst to support Commercial Casualty with profitability and growth goals by tracking, monitoring and analyzing data.
Salary:
The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $85,000 annually.
The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities.
Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:
Act as a primary data resource to Casualty product teams and assist with the following tasks:
Book analysis, data mining, and mix of business studies related to specific lines of business Providing support for rate reviews including the creation of rate review exhibits Quarterly state of the line reports Oversight Meeting exhibits and analysis Quarterly Line of Business OKRs and OKR scoring Capable of working on the following tasks independently:
Updating CLD monitoring reports Updating quarterly Line of Business Datamarts Developing basic queries to be used for data mining and writing reports Developing automated routines for extracting requested information Examining reports to locate and resolve errors Developing exhibits including tables and graphs Developing excel databases to be used for analysis Qualification:
Be Equipped With:
Develop positive working relationship with key stakeholders - CLD Management, CLD Product Managers, PARM, Sales Leaders Demonstrates or willingness to learn programming skills using VBA, SAS, SQL, or similar programming languages Demonstrates or willingness to learn advanced excel skills Demonstrates or willingness to learn advanced predictive modeling knowledge Demonstrates or willingness to learn advanced data visualization skills Demonstrates or willingness to learn advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to pinpoint data trends and anomalies Strong oral and written communication skills Strong customer service and organizational skills Ability to comprehend technical and logical concepts and adapt quickly to changes Demonstrate critical thinking abilities Detail oriented Balance priorities from multiple customers Handles key job responsibilities reliably with little or no supervision Possesses or willingness to learn advanced technical knowledge and understanding of:
SQL, SAS, or similar programming languages Calendar year, accident year and policy year concepts Ratemaking concepts including rate indications and its components Internal Databases such as the Predictive Modeling database and Line of Business Datamarts Understanding of unique data sources Highly advanced understanding of key metrics including the calculations of retention, PAR, renewal premium change, net rate increase, hit ratio, and combined ratio Recommended Skills Analytical Attention To Detail Calculations Communication Coordinating Critical Thinking Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
