Summary:
The Insurance Verification Specialist will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage and eligibility for patients seeking post-operative wound care services.
The candidate will work closely with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure all patient insurance claims are submitted and paid in a timely and accurate manner.
Key
Responsibilities:
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients.
Obtain and document necessary patient information including insurance details and medical history.
Contact insurance companies to verify coverage and obtain authorization for medical procedures as required.
Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for insurance claim submissions.
Ensure all insurance claims are submitted accurately and timely.
Follow up on insurance claims and work to resolve any billing issues that may arise.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Working Conditions:
The Insurance Verification Specialist will work in an office environment and be required to sit for extended periods of time.
The candidate may need to occasionally work outside of normal business hours to ensure timely insurance claim submissions.
